About The HeadThe head is a rock musical group made up of four artists. They are into soft and heavy metal rock. Their songs have a unique flavor not just because of their unique mix and extensive use of bass drums and electric guitars but also because of their lyrics. Most of their songs especially their popular songs are all on reverse mortgages. The Head rock group started as a bunch of high school friends in a small town who practiced in the group’s leader Ted Randy’s house twice a week with big dreams of hitting it big one day. Their break came at a reverse mortgage seminar that was organized in town. Mrs. Hopkins who is mother to Sarah, another group member was a member of the organizing committee. Sarah was able to convince her mother to allow the group to play at the seminar just for a bit of fun and exposure. Mrs. Hopkins and the organizing committee agreed only if the songs would not be the usual loud rebellious lyrics associated with rock. To impress the gathering and show their flexibility and talent, the rock band decided to compose a song about reverse mortgages. The song titled “Reverse, Reverse Old Master Tom” became their first major hit. The group was spurred by the crowd’s response, and the organizers seeing the power of music as an educational tool have been using the Head in a number of other Reverse Mortgage seminars across the country. The group members include Teddy Randy who is the lead vocalist and plays the Saxophone. Sarah Hopkins is the second vocalist and she plays an electric guitar. Bailey Penndel plays the bass drums and Henry Messi plays percussions, drums and keyboards. Teddy is the oldest and he is 28 years old, Sarah is 26, Bailey 23 and Henry is 27. The original group consisted of Teddy, Sarah and Henry who were high school buddies. Bailey is a cousin to Sarah and was last to join the group. The group is based in Chicago.
